See Something Say Something Hotline

Students can be the best source of information regarding unsafe behavior and Argo Community High School (ACHS) encourages students to report signs of trouble to their teachers, counselor, social worker, or any adult at Argo. Whether the problem is, for example, bullying on the bus, substance abuse, drug possession, through social media or other means, the See Something Say Something Hotline is a conduit for reporting problems.

 

The Hotline at ACHS is monitored on a regular basis by Argo administration. We affirm and defend our policy of anonymity for those who use this service in good faith. When intentionally malicious or fictitious claims are submitted, ACHS reserves the right to take measures to determine the identity of those involved.

 

If a situation is reported, the administration will investigate the claim and assess its validity. When a tip is confirmed as sincere and accurate, the situation will be handled accordingly by contacting the student and his or her parents, or in a more severe case, any other faculty member or police officer who can monitor the situation more appropriately.

 

The See Something Say Something Hotline is focused on Argo students, yet is also open to parents or community members who see or become aware of any unsafe behavior concerning Argo students or the Argo school community.

 

If an urgent situation has occurred during non-school hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays), please call the local police department or 911 for immediate assistance.
