Assessment Change Overview

As outlined in the chart below, the College Board has designed a series of assessments designed to provides students, parents, teachers and administrators information about skill and content acquisition as well as measure academic growth over time. This assessment suite replaces the ACT series of the same kind known as EPAS (Educational Planning and Assessment System). Until this year, District 217 used EPAS tests (Explore, Plan and ACT) to provide useful data related to student growth. In the spring of 2016, the State signed a contract with the College Board to administer the SAT to all juniors in Illinois. The new SAT replaces the ACT and PARCC as the State accountability exam.

For the 2016-17 school year, Argo High School plans to administer the following:
